Adobe cs2/cs3 installation problems in Vista

I'm having problems after I install adobe cs3. After it installed i couldn't open any of my other .exe files they just kept opening photoshop. So i uninstalled and tried my old cs2 disk and the same is happening.

I recently got a new laptop with Vista home premium (i know it sucks) and i had none of these problems with XP.

I don't even know where to start fixing this. Any help or suggestions is appreciated
