Log into into the router and turn it off but I do not recommend running an unsecured network.

What router do you have? They should have guides at their site listing the ip to log into, default passwords (if you never changed it which you should) etc.

What model - they have several. It should have also come with a basic manual that would hopefully say something about security.

From what I can tell the ip for the router may be:
192.168.2.1

If you didn't change the user name & password then it's probably admin for the password - skip the user name. That's pretty standard for all routers.

You can probably add your PSP to your secure network. I am guessing that you have limited access set up on your router (i.e - it only allows certain IP addresses in) Just add ur PSP

most security uses wep or wpa so they use keys or passcodes or u can also set what mac addresses to allow they normally don't go by ip since it can change even on lans if using dhcp.
find out if your router uses wep or wpa(tkip or aes) and login to your router and find out what key it uses normally a 26 character length 0-9,A-F key is used
if its a linksys goto http://192.168.1.1 and the default password is "admin" then http://192.168.1.1/WL_WPATable.asp will have the key 1 to use with your psp

Now, you need to find the tab/menu option that reads something like "security"

thats actually bad, but whatever if its easier for you to connect with your psp with no security and letting your neighborhood download illegal files under your name then ok but its best if you learn how to enable wep or wpa and setup your psp accordingly
