After I got my wii back from a store after modding, I was playing wii fit, and I realized the date I set up last week changed from October to August. The modder told me I have a d2pro9 v3 mod chip installed in the console. I was wondering how I can check if he switched my chip board with another one. Does this mean anything? Sorry, I'm new here. Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'switched your chip board.'

But theres basically 2 parts of the wii. The console, which has the processor, memory, exc. And the DVD drive which is where the modchip attaches. DVD drives are easily switchable between wii's, but won't effect the date. And if he gave you a different wii back then it wouldnt have any of your saved games or settings because the whole unit aside from the DVD drive is one package.

Thanks for the reply. Well, if he switched the processor, the date would change, right? I don't have any saved games. The only game I played was wii sports.
Most of the time when he was installing the chip, I was around. He was going to install a d2Sun. After the wires are all attached, the DVD drive didn't eject. Later on, he figured it out. After he installed the chip, the console did not recognize the backup disks. At that time, he asked me to wait outside for a few more minutes. Then 10 minutes later, he said everything worked. He said he installed d2pro9 instead of d2Sun. I wonder he might just switch the processor because I found out the date display on the startup interface changed...

By the way, where did mii profiles save? I found that I still have mii character profiles I created.

Even if there was some reason why he would have switched it, switching the processor wouldnt change the date. Plus the processor, memory, GPU, exc is all attached to the motherboard and not removable. Mii's and game saves are all stored in the system memory, so if you still have your mii's he didnt switch anything.

Edit: Just remembered this. When you take apart the wii one of the parts you have to remove is the button cell battery. When that is removed the time and date can change (seemingly at random from my experience) So that would be why your date changed.
