i live in the UK

i am unsure what provider has blocked the phone, it was originally a vodafone phone and still works with that sim.
i then used it with a 3 sim for roughly 2 weeks, and recieved an sms from 3 stating that as the phone is not 3G it would stop working with that sim in 5 days ..it has now stopped working
the phone is now asking for a restriction code, have found many codes on the internet to input when the sim card is not inserted but nothing is working so far.

would appreciate any help anyone can give, thanks
