I have been trying to backup 360 games for two weeks now with no success. The game I am backing up is Guitar Hero World Tour. ABGX360 says that the ISO is good and passes the stealth check. The dual layer burner I am using is a Lite-On LH-20A1S which does support bit setting. I am using ImgBurn. I've been told many different things about how to burn: set the layer break manually and don't use the .dvd file or (I'm assuming the other way would be to never select user specified layer break and use the .dvd file). I've heard your supposed to burn at 2X or 2.4X or 4X - I still don't know which to use. I've heard just open ImgBurn and burn the ISO without worrying about the book type and to make sure the .dvd and ISO files are in different folders. Can anyone tell me in extreme detail how to burn 360 backups. Or give me a link to an excellent tutorial. This is very frustrating. I've done everything: flash my Hitachi 47 drive to iXtreme 1.4, buy Verbatim's from Singapore(8X)-which I am running out of. I don't know what else to do. There are so many little snags that I think may or may not be happening. Maybe ImgBurn isn't actually setting the booktype (because after I set it, and I'm back at the menu where you press burn, the info on the right says the disc's booktype is DVD-R DL and no DVD-ROM). Does the booktype even matter since the drive does support bit setting. Should I use Clone CD or something else (and where do I find it)? Please take the time to help me. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated. I'm an my wits end.

Tremendous thanks,

Ok so you burn a game using imgburn on to Verbatim. Sounds like you know what you're doing with imgburn, you're using the proper media and you've checked the iso with AB.

What happens when you put the burnt game in the 360?

sounds like you did your homework but just a couple of questions.
1.do orig games work in the system?
2.have you had any backups at all work in your system?
3.are you ripping your backups or downloading them?
if you havent had any backups work in the xbox but orig do work it could be that it didnt flash proper.

I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

You can't do bitsetting on a -r disk. I don't know if the 360 drive will read -r disks. We burn on +r and don't bother with that particular setting because we see no improvement.

First of all, thanks for the help so far. Okay, I am using DVD+R DL disc's (Verbatim 8X from Singapore). When I put the backups in my drive, the xbox just makes a ticking sound like it's trying to read it. This goes on for about 20 seconds. Then it just tells me it's an unreadable disc at the bottom of the Dashboard. I haven't had any backups work in it so far, because I don't have any that are burnt correctly(as far as I know). The games have been acquired from several different sources, but they all pass the ABGX360 100% with stealth. And when I flashed my drive, I did it by the book and it said flash successful(or whatever), it's now safe to shut down your system. And original games play perfectly in the system. Also, just two things that may be important: when I put the backups in my laptop, it pulls up in windows media player and tells me to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360. And also, when I flashed my drive, it asked me for the speed (2X, 5X, 8X, 12X) and I did 5X, thinking it would be the best(don't know what it was for to be honest). Anyway, as I said earlier, and help or advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
