I just got this psp from ebay with a broken screen, so before i bought a new i was practicing how to take them out with the broken one. And when i was taking out the smallest ribbon attached to the screen the tool i was using touched a group of exposed wires and some sparks flew (i had the psp plugged in, stupid of me), but there was still light comming through onto the screen (but not pic. thats how its broken). But i happend a second time but with more sparks and now there is no back-light.

Is my psp messed up for good, is there something i can do, or can i just buy a new screen and be on my mary way?

well thats not good, sucks you did it twice...and there really no way to tell until you get the new screen and or backlight to replace it

yeah it does suck haha. im pretty sure i just/shorted something out, but if i shorted out the psp i dont think buying a new screen will necessiarly fix that
