i am from israel and i would like to put hebrew subtitles on movies, is it possible?(i already have the .srt file)
please tell me how to do that if it is possible.

well I'm not sure if that menu is for umd or if sony plans on having a subtitle format that you can just drop in with the .mp4 or not but i do know that you can use PSPVC 3.10 to embed the subtitle onto the video

I don't think there is any way of switching subs on or off for mp4 files, but as Shaggy rightly says, they can be embedded.
I have no experience of PSP VC (but should probably check it out!) but if you use Xvid4PSP and have a movie file and srt file it's a piece of cake to embed the subs.
Open the movie file in Xvid4PSP using the "Open" button (!), then click on the "subtitles" drop down menu at the top of the page, then click add, select the relevant srt file, then click encode and wait for it all to be processed. About an hour or so for a regular length movie.
Before encoding, it is prudent to check the subs are in sync - so just play a section of the movie within the Xvid application. If they're out, you'll need a subtitle editor, but again that's pretty easy.
Give it a go!

yea you should look into pspvc a few notable things i like about it is it only takes me like 20-30 minutes to convert divx and i can boost the volume considerably and it supports a lot of different video and subtitle formats
