I cant get my Hitachi 59DJ drive in mode b. I run the slax cd and depending on what SATA port its connected to on my SYBA SY-VIA-150R PCI SATA. It either says that the drive is not responding or it goes straight through to the login without giving me the "Spinning up drive" message ... Any ideas, other than using the 2 wire method????

use the 2 wire trick its easy and fast, and works everytime. why wouldn't you ant to use it?

you can find videos of the two wire trick. If you can't get it with slax, then go for the two wire.

just putting this out there.. but was the drive previously flashed or had a bad flash? If so, you can eject the drive... unplug the power from the wall, plug it back in, and then turn on the console to put it in modeB, otherwise, two wire trick should work although i never had to do it before because slax always worked for me
