i have my brothers wii and he disabled his wiikey by unplugging it during an update at 50% so he could play mario kart. well now i have it and am trying to re enable the wiikey with the 1.9b recovery disc but every time i follow the tutorials w/e u call them they dont work it goes to the black error screen and it tells me to eject the disc and reset the console. tried several different times/different burns used like 10 dvd's any ideas??

Ok, first off: Why would you disable the wiikey to play mario kart? The only game that needed that was smash bros and the glitch that made it necessary was fixed within a few days of the game coming out.

Secondly, you should be using the 1.9s recovery disk. The 1.9b is very old and out of date.

And finally, when the wiikey recovery disks work they dont look like they're doing anything. You put the disk in and just let it sit on the main menu without touching anything for 5 - 10 minutes. Hopefully that fixes the wiikey. If it doesn't fix it then the chip is likely fried, as can sometimes happen when you do the firmware corruption trick.
