I have only tried to burn cd's maybe five to ten times since I've owned my computer. Everytime the quality is bad.If I try anything beyond 74 minutes, I will not get any audio playback at all.

By the way my Computer is a Compaq 5000 serie. Purchase new about 3 years ago. If I use a 74 minutes cdr or cd-rw I can audio, but there is a lot of background noise. I email compaq who told me to try a slower burn speed. And they also said, that there were not any other software update for the use of 80 minutes cdr's and rw's. If I store images on 80 cdr's I have no problems. Any ideas ?
