I use DVD Decrypter then DVD Shrink then burn with Nero. I can't seem to get the files loaded into DVD Shrink. It starts to analyze them then gives me this error message at about 70% completion....DVD Shrink encountered and error and can not continue. Failed to open file "G:SEABISCUITVIDEO_TSVTS_01_8.VOB" The system cannot find the file specified. Which is correct cause that file doesn't even exist on the dvd!?!? So what is going on?

I've used DVD Shrink the same way with several other dvd files and never encountered this error before.

Any ideas?

I used DVD Decrypter, DVD2One and Nero for several months then I started getting a lot of coasters. My burned dvds would start skipping around the 6th chapter. So I switched to DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and Nero last week. I burned 4 dvds and played one entirely last night and it was perfect. I also stopped putting on labels (per another members suggestion) so I am not sure if it was the change in software or the lack of a label that resulted in a perfect burned copy.

why the use of decrypter.. then shrink? I have backed up over 50 using just shrink (I am X COPY PLATINUM convert, shrink is superior) perfect results with just shrink ... I use Nero to burn with one click... could someone explain the benefit of decrypter and then shrink instead of shrink alone?

here owd lad dont bother with using decripter first , there is no need , just use shrink for the ripping and shrinking , its what i have used for backing up numerous dvds , with not a coaster as yet , but having said that iff you just want the movie then by all means use decripter the use dvd 2 one to shrink the movie . simple .

Can I use dvd shrink if I just want the main movie? Then do you use Nero to burn?

Yes you can just use DVD Shrink alone (nero as the burner) for just the movie but you need to reeauthor the movie and then dubble click the full movie and the click burn and it should do you trick.

I remember why I can't use DVD Shrink alone. I get this kind of error when trying to use DVD Shrink by itself...."Programming error - exception occurred". So I then have to do a work around using DVD Decrypter and IFO edit (http://forum.digital-digest.com/archive/topic/29716-1.html). I tried to shrink Seabiscuit with just DVD Shrink and did get the above error again. Any other way around all this?
