Hi all,
I just downloaded an iso file with 2 folders on it, audio_ts and video_ts. Audio_ts is empty and video_ts has .IFo, .BUP and .VOB files. I mounted the iso and I tried using IMGBURN to burn the two TS folder to a dvd R(sony 120 min/4.7gb). After it was done it said successfully completed but it wont play on my DVD player and my computer(when I put it back in) says its a blank DVD. When i open the burn program again it says that there were some files that are smaller on the DVDR than there are on the Iso file.
Whats the deal? I know its something stupid.
Thanks for the help

Open the .iso with DVD Shrink (File => Open Disc Image)and verify that it loads and plays ok, then 'Backup' and save it to a folder.
Burn the VIDEO_TS folder with Imgburn.

Why do I need to use shrink? Why couldnt i just use the folders from the ISo file? Does backing up change something?

so i backed them up. Do I use the "write files/folders to disc" option?
i had followed that guide at first and I was getting problems.

If DVD Shrink can load the files, it usually indicates that they are DVD compliant - thus you know the files at least are good.
You can save the files to a folder (or .iso) and if Nero is installed, it will offer to burn the disk - else burn the VIDEO_TS folder with ImgBurn.

could be the brand of media you're using? burn speed? and whether you are using the DVD dash R or the DVD plus R format?

If it plays on the PC, but not on the standalone, check to see if it's PAL (EU) or NTSC (North America) video.

There is no difference when burning the movie.
The content of the VIDEO_TS folder is the same in both cases - except that there is no 'VTS_01_0.VOB' menu file.
