OFW 4.01 to CFW... Help

I just bought a PSP Slim 2004 from amazon.de today. Its got the OFW 4.01.
I would like to install CFW and want to know if this is possible.
Did search the forum before posting this query, but couldn't find any post for installing CFW for 4.01 OFW.
I understand that i need a Pandora battery and MMS to install CFW, but have a couple of questions...
1. Can I create a pandora battery from a PSP Slim battery?
2. Which version of CFW can i install on my PSP?

any help is appreciated....thanks a ton..

Yes you can create a pandora battery from a psp slim battery.
There's many many guides on how to do this. Google it or search this forum.

And you can put any custom firmware on there that you'd like. Pretty sure the most current is 5.00 M33-3.

Good luck hacking your psp. It's a fun experience.

I am afraid my PSP might have the TA-088 v3 mother board...I havent verified this though...is there a way i can check which motherboard i am using....I saw another guide in this forum to verify if mine is a TA-088 v3, but that requires another PSP with a CFW installed ( which i dont have)
