Online computer users beware. The Obama virus has been unleashed. The malware is distributed by email message offering the recipient a link to what is supposed to be a video of President-elect Obama's acceptance speech.

What unsuspecting users really encounter is a link that downloads malware onto the user's computer, stealing sensitive data and turning the victim's computer into a botnet, which is a network of infected computers than send spam.

In addition, the recipients of this particular malware can end up being victims of identity theft and credit card fraud as a result.
