I have previosuly copied from my VHS recorder via a video camera to my pc.
I had to borrow a friends video camera , as mine didnt accept input.
I now have to buy a new video camera myself, and want to make sure it accepts Analgue input , so I can accept input from the VHS recorder, and pass it straight thru to my pc.
I just need to be sure what spec on the camera Im looking for. Is it that it has a dv in /out ? Or is it more specifically 'analogue' input ?
It preferably needs to be Sony model I order, as having to exchange my current older model. The one Im looking at is the Sony DCR HC62 , which has dv in / out.
It has an iLink which is good, but it does not say Analog input.
Not sure what they mean by "remount terminal"
Best is to see manual, it will show if it can be connected the way you want.
Or ask in the store before buying, that is if anybody know about this type.
I may call Sony , but I asked them this morning about remote control compatibilty , and the guy just admitted he didnt know (like erm can you find out ? !! )
I do not know where you live, but best is to go to a store where they sell it and ask that yo want to see manual before you buy.
In America it should be no problem.
P.S
Stupid me.
Just checked web and Jessops is UK.
Since it is a camera shop, I would try them. People in camera shops are usualy pretty knowledgeable.
Id rather go to them and say 'this is the model I want' , than spend time in the store trawling thru the manuals.
Maybe the spec you sent is on the US site - as I couldnt see that on the UK one.
I did try calling Sony just, but they only work 9 to 5 . Nice for some eh !
