i was planning on building my own pc and here are the parts i was looking to buy...
i will use this pc for gamming with games like crysis, and doing some heavy computing a decent amount of the time(photoshop, music, homework, maybe programmin i dont know)

these are the parts i would suggest.

case $55 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042
cpu $180 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115018
ram $50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122
psu $115 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001
video $245 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121276
mobo $105 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128345
hdd $75 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136298
dvd $25 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151171
cooler $50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154001

total + shipping = $900

the case you chose is not a very high quality case you will want something better for a nice gaming computer. the antec 300 is an excellent case. the motherboard you chose will not overclock very well. a new p45 board will do much better. the processor is fine but you can save a few $ by getting oem. you will need to get a good cooler for the cpu so the tuniq tower will do great with overclocking. you always want to get two sticks of ram so you can run in dual channel mode. you will get better performance that way. the graphics card you chose is several years old and will run games like crysis only on low. the 4870 will be much faster. the dvd drive you chose is fine but i listed the one that i prefer.

the psu you chose was terrible. never buy a cheap psu. they can fail and mess up your whole computer. you should stick to quality brands like corsair, antec, pc power and cooling, themaltake and a few others. you could save a little bit by getting the 500watt antec earthwatts for $50 if you dont want the corsair. the psu i listed has modular cables and that will be nice for cable management. so you dont have extra cables in the computer.

any overclocking questions can be asked here

CPU is good, RAM isn't very good. PSU, HDD and GPU are all TERRIBLE.

Of your build, the Case, RAM, Power supply, Hard disk and Graphics card are all pretty bad choices. Follow Krj's build exactly, it's MILES better.

The motherboard wasn't very good, but shouldn't have posed you huge issues. The Hard disk posed reliability issues, and the Power supply was outright dangerous. The graphics card was merely very very slow (you can buy cheaper cards more than double the speed of it), and the RAM was just ill advised, single sticks never perform anywhere near as well as equally-priced pairs. Not an outright criticism of yourself, but just explaining the reasons for what I said.
