"A bug has been discovered on the G1 mobile phone, which runs Google's Android software. The bug means that anything typed into the phone shortly after it is turned on is interpreted by the software as a command.

The bug was discovered during a text conversation between two phone users. One of the participants typed the word "reboot" into the text message, and the phone shut down and rebooted. Google has developed a fix for the bug.

The bug was reported on the Google problemshooting forum, with user jdhorvat stating: " I had just rebooted my phone and the first thing I typed was a response to her text which simply stated "Reboot" - which, to my surprise, rebooted my phone."
