Hi All. Not sure if I'm in the correct forum - so apologies in advance!! I'm having problems with the joystick on my fat PSP - basically, although it is moving ok, the action on screen, when playing a game, is that it seems to be constantly sticking in one direction. For example, if I don't move the joystick at all, the character on screen will still move in one specific direction - something's not working correctly. Does this need a clean out somehow? If so, how do I do it?

Remove your joystick from the face plate and look for the metal clip on the bottom. Take the clip out then remove the circuit board and you'll see what looks like two rectangle pieces with a slot in the middle. The joystick most likely isn't seated in one of the slots. It should look like a "plus sign" up and down side to side. Make sure the stick guide is in the middle and close it back up and you'll have a perfectly good working joystick again.

I had a friend on an old forums who taught me that. It apparently happens to a lot of people.

Tell your friends baby!

Right I'll give it a go - is it relatively easy to get into the PSP? Or does it need to be done by someone qualified?
