Wii update in English --- does this means its ntsc and not pal?

I have wii music and my modded wii with a wiikey (1.9s) is asking me to install an update. It's asking me in English so I'm curious if this means that the Wii music is in the ntsc format. Really I'm just looking for a way to make sure it's an American version of the update so I don't brick my wii. From what I've read the update itself won't cause any problems as long as its the right version.

I just thought of something. Could I just update through the internet? I'm the update on the internet is the same as the update on the wii music.
