"The problem of illegal file-sharing has become a global one but the way governments go about tackling it changes from country to country.

In the UK, internet service providers (ISPs) have recently voluntarily agreed to engage and educate their customers about file-sharing.

Virgin Media is one of the most recent ISPs to write to customers whose net connection may have been used to download unlicensed content.

However, coming up with a logical and viable solution is proving difficult because of the fast past of technological change."

I find this kind of argument annoying, and It incences me that Governments are introducing legislation to combat this. I am sick and tired of hearing industry bigwigs moaning about people downloading music/films and so on. As soon as these these coporations think that they're losing even a tiny part of the market they dominate, they go running off to they're friends in the government. They say that it's unfair to the artists, making out that they are all going to be living in poverty if we continue to download. They seem to forget that Gnarls Barkly and several others have made HUGE amounts of money, from dowloads. The corporations of this world make unbelievably MASSIVE amounts money from US the everyday people So if we can save a few quid, dollers, yen, whatever, by a little downloading then thats a good thing. Because these corporations will only ever take from us.

What will stop me from not actually breaking any laws? errrrr.. A government that actually represents US the electorate, and not one which is bought and paid my big greedy business. A system of open and fair democracy where everybody has a voice, not just the rich and powerful.
