"A new law proposal against file-sharing on the internet has caused both positive and negative reactions. The principle of protecting intellectual property stands against the protection of personal integrity.

According to the original proposal, copyright owners should be given the right to claim access to IP numbers of those who they suspect upload copyright protected material. They could then demand damage from these people by taking them to court. Critics have said that private companies should not do the police´s job and that people (for example parents to teenagers) would rather pay the damages right away than risk having to pay the copy right owners lawyer´s fee, even if they are innocent. It is for example sometimes possible to surf on your neighbours wireless broad band, so the person connected to a IP number is not necessarily the guilty one."
