what custom firmware are you running, try updating to the newest cfw 5.00m33-3 and where do you out your iso/cso. make sure to put it in the iso folder in the root of your memory card also make sure your iso are named properly not ex: metal_slug_anthology_psp_iso(www.xxxxxxxxx>com). Also make sure you have a proper sony memory card you wouldn't understand how many people buy memory cards of eBay and there not usable. hope this help fixes your problem

Juzzy: Did go into the UMD ISO Mode and switch it over to M33 Driver? Could be your problem if you did everything right and just forgot to switch it on. On the XMB menu press select, move down to UMD ISO Mode and switch it over til you get the M33 Driver.
Zero: I have bought 2 Memory Sticks from Ebay, some fake ones at that and they do in fact work with CFW firmware. I got three 8 gigs and four 4 gigs all using CFW firmware 5.00m33-3 and no problems (maybe a bit slower than my official ones) nonetheless. Try some from Dealextreme.

i really meant to say that lots of people go on ebay looking for a great deal on memory sticks and buy a 8 gig one and when they try it out its capacity is barely 1 gig i understand that they would work with cfw but i think people all to often get tricked in to not getting their moneys worth

Well, that's true, not saying you were wrong. I guess its more a matter of luck if you get good or bad memory sticks. So far i have been lucky with them

it has nothing to do with his umd mode or firmware...if it displays as corrupt on his xmb its only 2 possibilities.
1. he installed the files in the wrong location.
2. his memory stick is fake.
to check the authenticity of your memory stick, scroll to your memory stick icon and hit the triangle button. It will bring up a menu on your right hand side. Select the option that says information. beside magic gate it will show either supported or unsupported. if its unsupported then its a fake.

Sorry, what I meant is I had some problem when I used CFW on one of my PSPs and after making sure everything I did was right (even using a fake memory stick), all I did was go into the recovery mode, went into the UMD Mode and switched it over to M33 Driver. You can also do this without going into recovery mode by pressing Select, going into UMD ISO Mode and switching it into M33 Mode. That solved my issue and the iso and cso's started working.
Basically to go into recovery mode, completely shut down PSP. Now hold the right trigger and power to turn back on (wait a few seconds in between when switching on or off). You should go into recovery mode then head on over to Configuration, click X and move down to UMD Mode and press X until you see it switch to M33 Driver - No UMD. Otherwise, you can do it from the XMB by pressing Select, following the steps I described above

Although you are right, in my case that is all I ended up doing and my ISOs and CSOs started to work fine so that could be the case with Juzzy. Half the time what i described could be the answer, the other just a matter of the files installed in the wrong place and yes, some fake cards do not work although as i posted in an earlier comment I have some fake cards that do work fine, although a little slower than official cards

The only reason why i can tell you why your way wont work (assuming juzzy's description is correct) is simply because of this... Originally posted by juzzy13: when i put games on my psp all of them come up as corrupted
His games are showing up as corrupted on the xmb (broken icons)...The fix your describing would be for an error code when you try and boot into the game. Therefore, only 2 possible problems as i listed.

how could it be either those two problems. i bought my 8gig memory stick from DickSmiths and i downloaded the games from www.mininova.com into utorrent. and btw i upgraded my firmware to 3.90 M33. Now is there still any reason why it wouldnt work because they still come up as corrupted data.

Hi, maybe this will help...
for the Psp ISO's put them in "ms0:/ISO" folder
also, make sure u have "No UMD Required" enabled by going to the recovery menu by holding the r trigger and power button at same time...then click "configuration"...then click "UMD mode" and make sure it says something like "M33 Driver -No UMD-"...
hope this works =)
