You may not need a Pandora's battery. If you are running on the official 3.71 firmware then you will indeed need one.

For a fat PSP, you must downgrade to 1.50 then update to the 3.52m33-4 and then update to 3.71m33, but I recommend just staying at 3.52m33-4.

If you're sporting a slim, then it can get pretty annoying and you will need a Pandora's battery. However, there are new methods to make one which no longer require that you need a CFW. Here is a well-crafted tutorial concerning such:

Good luck!

If I don't know the legit answer to a question I'm not going to act like I do, I can promise you that. If I'm not 100% sure on a solution I usually just point people in the right direction to find one.

Here are some well-crafted videos showing you how to make a Pandora's battery from a PSP fat:

PART 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj-MAk6lfTI
PART 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBxOc0C7vkg&feature=related

This can only be done after you have made your Magic Memory Stick. If you haven't done that yet here is an additional video on how to do so:

Good luck.

Yes you can use the pandoras battery again on any psp, which with this you can downgrade any psp to 1.50 and unbrick any psp. It is not that hard to make a pandoras battery and magic memory stick, however there are somethings that you have to have like a 'windows xp' computer, because vista has some problems which i tried it on 3 vista computers and all of them didn't work, and 1gb or above sized memory card, which yes some people have said that it has worked with less than 1gb.

People think that you cant turn the pandoras battery back to normal but you can, which you have to make sure you click triangle on the 'pandoras battery creator' to back up your battery so you can change it back to normal. You dont need to worry about this yet, because first of all you will need to make the pandoras battery and magic memory stick on a psp with a firmware of 1.50.

I myself bought a Datel Tool Battery, it worked just like a Pandora Battery and I have flashed CFW on about 10 PSPs with it so far.
Was pretty cheap too^^
