dvd plays for about 1hr then freezes

Hi All
when writing dvd,s with my LG GSA 4040B they all seem to stop after 1 hr when played on my
stand alone dvd player , ive tried different media
princo ,ritec,datawrite they all act the same,
ive updated firmware to 302 and using lastest dvd shrink with nero 6
I dont know what to try now, Anybody got any ideas

THAT sounds like shit dvd media but the brands you name are pretty reliable at worst

have you only tried shrink so far?? one of My dvd players does NOT like DVD Shrink if it is crunched to much yet My other player does not mind

AND both players are pioneer 414's

I would try DVD Decrypter or smart ripper
crunched with dvd2one

are they +/- r's that could also be an issue try and do it with an RW so that you don't make more coasters till you figure the set up your system prefers

If your movie keeps on stopping after an hour, it would most definitely be a dvd media problem. When I first started burning movies, I started out with compusa and sky dvd-r's. After that, I switched over to TDK dvd-r's and burned at least 30 movies without encountering any stopping or skipping issues during playback.
