Why isn't my PC build good, i thought it was great!! the comments from newegg say that my vid card can play crysis on high and my cpu is the best AMD out there right now.. can u tell me why it's no good, i really like AMD and Geforce, but can i get an intel with better performance with that price? Also what power supply should i get and how many watts? ALSO i heard that Vista 64 has problems, is not compatible with much of the programs, and will eat my ram, is that true?

the video card is good. it can play most games on high. but the 4850 performs better and costs less. so you will get more bang for the buck with the 4850. the cpu is the best amd has right now but that doesnt mean that it is good. if you want to stick with amd wait until january. the new phenom 2 will increase performance by %15 to %35 and overclock much better. if you dont want to wait for that just get a q6600 and your good to go. i listed a power supply in my first post. it is a corsair 450watt.

The video card is alright, but it's EVGA, who have dubious quality control, and it's considerably more expensive than its faster rival, the Radeon HD4850, which is why krj has picked it.
AMD processors in general use far too much power and are quite slow, the Phenom 9850 you have chosen is also an outdated one that isn't even as fast as AMD's best. Consequently that puts it lower in performance than Intel's cheapest Core 2 Quad, the Q6600, which again, is what krj has picked.

tbh for a single card set up a faster E8400 would be better :) also get 2x 120mm fans recommended by sam for the antec 300, becuase it dont come with front fans.

8GB RAM is needless for any PC at the moment, 4 will be ample. By the time you need 8 you'll need other new components as well.
Also, I still stick with krj's advice on getting an HD4850 instead of the 9800GTX, it's simply a better choice. It's faster, cheaper and produces a better image quality.

so what krj has for me is perfect right now? can it play crysis, spore, COD4, watch HD movies, connects to my 1080p 32" TV with HDMI port all smoothly? and i don't feel comfortable with that 450 Watt PSU, it seems to little, i am going to put 4gigs of rams too. but i did want to put 8 gigs, i don't want it to stutter or lag. Also, while i'm burning and rendering a vid, can i do something else with out the PC lagging?? I do have about 1000 dollars to spend on this because right now, my pc has the minimum requirements on everything, it's also kinda laggy on vista. this is hwat i have..6600 Geforce LE.. 1GB at 400mhz ram, and an AMD athlon64 3200 with 2.01Ghz, it used run great in 2005 but now its just too slow

It won't make a difference, you will only get lag if you run out of RAM, and with 4GB you won't.
