Hey everyone,

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum...I wasnt entirely sure which forum this question would best suit. I tried searching through the discussion boards here for about an hour yesterday...I found some similar questions but none that really helped solve my problem.

I run my PC into my LCD TV....the TV is a few years old so no HDMI inputs etc....so I connect via RGB cable.

My graphics card (ATI Raedon 1050) doesn't have a hell of a lot of features....problem is that even though it claims to support HDTV resolutions like 1280 x 720....when I select that resolution my monitor detects the correct resolution but cuts off a small portion of the screen...enough to cut off the start button down the bottom left and the close/full screen options on the top right of a window. I tried playing around with the graphics cards software and moving the position of the screen but no good. I used to use a program called Powerstrip..which allows for custom resolutions, timings etc and that program allowed me to select a resolution which fit my screen perfectly.

The problem is I logged in the other day and Powerstrips trial period has apparently expired...tried going to their website to download a new version and it says their site has been blocked or is listed as dangerous or something...So I can't get to their site to purchase a version of the program. I spent a couple of hours yesterday googling...trying to see if there's another program like powerstrip that can help me with this problem but I've had no success in finding one...does anyone know of another program or know what I might be able to do to correct this rather annoying problem??

I've also downloaded the latest drivers and latest version of ATI Catalyst software but that has not helped resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

The sides are getting cut off when viewing the PC picture on the
TV hooked up through analog cables? It sounds like overscan on the TV.

Is there a way to adjust the overscan in the LCD? Or move the picture
up slightly. Use the computer to put up a test pattern to the TV
and see what you need to do. Try the Nokia monitor test program:
