ts-h943 ms28 drive hookup to the PC ??

i was looking around and was wondering if there is a way to hookup the ts-h943 ms28 drive to the PC without having to connect it ti my xbox 360 so that i can backup my games. Is the Connectivity Kit v3 the only other way to accomplish this?

im starting to think it may be cheaper to just go about a buy a serial kreon PC drive or is it worth the extra money to buy the connectivity kit v3 to backup my games.
