Replaced motherboard - sound is backwards?

Hi everyone, just replaced my motherboard (TA-081) with one from eBay (TA-086) and everything works but the sound is weird:

With headphones plugged in, sound plays through speakers

With no headphones plugged in, sound does not play at all

I've read that newer boards don't work well with older parts...is there any known remedy for this? And if I need to replace another part, what is it that I need to replace?
