i just bought a new xbox 360 got the Philips Lite-on DG-16D2S, but i have an old 360 with the hitachi dj-47..(flashed) already. and to buy another machine cause was getting the rrod...

now can i just swap the 2 dvd drives...will the hitachi drive work w/ my newer machine.

you cant just swap them, you need to spoof the hitachi into thinking its the lite on, for this you need some details from your lite-on. i shall recommand the same as was recommended to me (the hardware hasnt arrived yet so i cant confirm it works but i see no reason it wouldnt)

you need both the xtractor and the spear or the xttractor and some soldering experience, i opted for the xtractor and spear so i didnt have to solder
