HI,

I am about to attempt a repair on a rrod unit and i also want to get a kreon drive. I have seen several sites to get the stuff to do the xclamp fix and all that, ive also seen people say to go to the hardware store. im guessing it doesnt matter as long as i get the correct items. Also i was wondering if im going to do the xclamp fix should i also go ahead and do the eraser fix on the mem chips. I want fix the rrod and also do as much as possible to prevent further issues. Any usefull tuts are welcome :) Ive searched and found some but u can never have to much info gathered.

when i checked ebay i didnt see many kreon drives out there. So is there any place that i can order a kreon drive and the xclamp items at the same time. And are there any newers drives that can create backups that i might be able to just go out and buy locally instead of searching around for an old piece of hardware.
