just bought a arcade 360 but came with a phillips lite -on drive..the drive that's a b!tch to flash.

so i think i have it sold, but looking to buy another arcade 360..hopefully with the benq drive.

anyway how can i tell what drive i'm getting before hand...

or is there some stores out there that are better than other stores to buy from..

i origianally got mine from canadian superstore.
i'm wondering if Walmart is better to get one from, maybe they carry the benq drive..or maybe future shop? etc...

anyone? have any idea?

last guy on here i heard of buying one with a benq lived in peurto rico .. and that was a few months ago...

your chance of getting one from a shop are nearly 0.00%

hmm...so mircosoft had gotten smart then. and all the Arcade machines are coming with the phillips lite-on drive.??

that blows if thats true..

i'm thinking about going to try to buy one at future shop. and seeing if i get lucky.

If you can find one of the pro's w/the 20gb hard drives that one is more likely to have a benq, since all the newer ones are shipping w/the 60gb hd's.

well you can make it less trial and error by looking at the lot #'s on the arcade unit you're going to buy...

if its an 0816 or 0818 you have a much greater chance of it not being a liteon.. but good luck finding even an 0818 ... 10 months ago that woulda been easy but now... you're much more likely to find an 0830 or above..
