I see it dome on Kazaa but mine end up requiring two CDs. Any ideas?!

An idea use virtualdub to compress your audio. use advanced birate calculator to calculate bit rates, very accurate

what is your source? if it is a DVD you are trying to rip, you should get Gordian Knot from http://www.doom9.org. it gives you the option to adjust the bitrate and quality according to what file size you would like to get.. just remember that you will be sacrificing quality for size.
