Listening to music with logitech z-5500 surround sound speakers

Sound only comes out of 2 of the speakers while im listening to music on my 360. The speakers are hooked up fine. I pressed the sound test button on the remote and sound came out of all the speakers. I was just wondering if there was something that I could do that would fix this issue. Btw im using an optical cable for the connection.

It's prob cause most Dl music is 2 channel mp3.Just a Guess tho
Try a Orig movie or a Game, something that says its DTS,5.1 or Whatever and see if it outputs correctly.


Also another thing to try is in your setting on your Xbox make sure you have 5.1 selected

you sure you have the receiver set up to play true surround? My friend had a receiver which would accept incoming optical input, but would only play the sound through all the speakers, but with a left/right output, not true surround.

Not sure if that makes sense.... this might be a better question to ask in the home theater forum.

Also, just check your 360's audio output settings.
