I'm sorry - I've read through tons of threads, but I can't find a definitive answer.

I don't want to brick my Wii. What updates can I do? I understand there are official Nintendo updates you download and there are also updates on each game. Which are safe (if any)? I'm just playing my backed-up games - I'm not worried about homebrew.

I believe my WiiKey has the 1.9s firmware.

if you like homebrew then you don't want to do the latest update that was released. It should not have any effect on playing backups. updates on the disk are the same that you would download, just older. beware updating from a burnt disk though.... because if it is from a different region, then you will either brick, semi brick or get duplicate channels on you wii.

I still play my wii, just not as much. Gave my PSP to my son.
