How do I get wii games to burn on a DVD-R?

I am totally new at the wii mod, I have a wii key2 with solder clip in the mail, now I don't have a clue on how to get games. What is the best way? Is there a tutorial anybody has on what I need to be able to rip them from the disc? Can I use any dvd burner? I was told only LG burners can burn the wii games.
