Well, so i got it installed, and i did not get banned, however i keep getting this xbox live error code, it just comes up randomally. but i am not banned because i am in a game and talking on live. so i dunno, but i like it.

Just got it.
Hate it.
It's no improvement from the old one and now we all have to get used to a new dash.

I didn't like the old dash much, however that'll be due to me being a 360 noob and being using to all things XBMC on the old style xboxes.
Anyways, i've read that NXE is being rolled out here in the UK since approx 10am so i'm just installing a game to the hard drive (i got hold of NXE a few days ago on a public site) and so far it's working fine. Will try connecting to xbox live after the game is installed. I personally think the new dash is far better than the (in my honest opinion horrid) old blade dash, but for me, just being able to install games and not have to listen to the dvd drive try to perform space travel, is good enough for me.

Was this update required to continue using XBOX Live?
For better or for worse will be determined over time as far as stability and error handling is concerned.
I do like the new Dash and it seems they have made some improvements to Accessibility and Game Load times.
On a negative note, I have had a few Ax0000 errors when browsing my gamertag information.
Other than that it is now time to mod the box.
Kreon should be here tomorrow.
NXE FTW for now.

Updated quick. Installed quick. I got 4 games loaded on to my hdd with more to go.
Everythings running smooth.
Now, I wonder how horrible it'll be this evening trying to play on LIVE. Once everyone gets home from work and school, that is.

Why would Live be busier than normal tonight?? Think more people will play it just because of the update? Doubt that.

just did the update on our 360. i think the layout is better than the previous blades. installed midnight club: LA, and it has slightly better loading; took up 6gigs. doing GTA IV right now.
if only i can find the 120gig western digital scorpio.
and the update went smoothly for me. just did a bridge connection with the laptop, and it downloaded fairly quick. no errors, no BS.

yea i went out and bought a 120 a month ago just for this occasion. and yes i think it will be busy on live tonight. this was the premire at E3!

I updated and lost my gamerpic. I'm a little pissed about that. I can't re-down load it. It's not on the marketplace anymore. I thought the old dashboard was fine. This one looks cool, but it's going to take some getting used to.

I'm going to wait a few days to see what (if any) posts pop up about modded 360's and the NXE...although sooner or later everyone is going to have to update as it will be included on retail discs and probably a necessity for LIVE!.

i just went to play a game of uno and it asked to do another console update? maybe a bug fix already? i will keep you posted if anything happens. so far i am still able to be signed into live.

My Backups works absolutely perfect, even able to save me backups and run the games from the HDD.
Perfect Now No real need for me to backup anymore woop woop

i have a slower connection and i signed up for the free trial of the netflix streaming video. god is the video quality awuful. is there any way to get a better picture, besides a faster connection. when i say bad quality i mean worse than vhs, almost too blury to watch.

if this helps...i have a 2.5 mb down and 1.5 mb up connection. i have the xbox connected with the wireless adapter. i would say the quality is around 480p'ish.
perhaps check the settings on your router.
