Hi!
I have a problem with my psp umd drive. I dropped my psp and now umd drive is not working, that is nothing, because i play homebrew, and i do not need this umd drive at all, but the problem is that this umd drive is making clicking noises and it freezes my psp.
So i am asking you not to fix this umd drive, BUT to disable it somehow.
Maybe and what would happen if i would cut this wire in picture? And, yes, i do not want to open my psp.

well if you dont want the umd drive anymore then cut away and that will stop the psp from sending signals to move the lens for the umd drive, hell you could even do a nice tricked out mod with the photofast sd card readers and get yourself 64GB of storage in your umd space but that would require some money and opening your psp case

I Had the same problem the drive starts clicking everytime you start the psp up if you have custom firmware you can download NOUMD PLUGIN and enable it through the recovery menu it will completly disable the umd drive until you turn off the plugin
