Trouble flashing Hitachi 0047DJ xbox 360 drive

I am trying to flash a Hitachi 0047DJ xbox drive and I keep getting an error. I have the drive in ModeB and it is recognized in Windows. I tried flashing it but I keep getting this message everytime. I have tried multiple firmware versions not just this one.

? why are you not using ixtreme 1.4 and flashix.bat?
You should probably go to xbins and get the latest firmware and tools instead of using the older methods.

I tried that firmware also and got the same error. I have flashed other samsung and benq drives but I am haveing a lot of trouble with this drive for some reason. I got the drive into modeb with the slax cd.

What sata card are you using?

SYBA SY-VIA-150 PCI SATA/IDE Combo controller card/NonRaid. It was purchased through Newegg. It was the one that was recommended in the hacking xbox book for dummies.

Hmmm? I think the one I bought was a 6421 via from my local pc store.
If it's not the card then the only other thing I can think of would be to try it with all other dvd/cd drives disconnected.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?

use the ixtreme 1.4 or BirdyFlash (REALLY EASY). I tried to use Maximus-Garyopa and it bricked my drive. Now my xbox only plays dvd's and when i try playing play any xbox game it tells me to insert the disc into a xbox360 console.

just search on google. for it. i managed to fix mine with "xbox360Toolbox v4.6" really easy to use. restored my old drive key and flashed it with the ixtreme 1.4. recomended
plus there's a tutorial on how to use it on youtube
|
