Okay. So the thing is that you can get a discount to the storage upgrade (Arcade and Core users) that M$ is providing. Now the thing is that whenever I enter my console Serial and ID, I get an error saying "Your Serial Number has already been validated by our system." I didn't even enter it once beforehand! I called Xbox Support and they couldnt fix it either. So the person who helped me gave me a reference number. Now I didn't catch the end part. She said something about going to a retail store to get my discount for the Hard Drive and 3 months of Xbox Live for 30 bucks. I plan to go to Best Buy to do this. But, before I go there, I need to know if Best Buy can actually understand me and if I give them my reference number, will they call M$ or something? I'm not sure if Best Buy accepts M$ reference numbers and I don't know if they will give me 20 GB Hard Drive and 3 months live for 30 bucks if it is accepted. Can anyone confirm this?

It's NOT gonna work at an retailer, because the drives Microsoft are giving you the deal on are refurbished 20GB hard drives. And I highly doubt it that any store like Best Buy, GameStop or Wal-mart will go through with that deal since it's Microsoft themselves who are running this deal, not the retailers.

yes its MS deal u are right but he said MS gave him a number to reference and instructions to go to a retail store. So if MS wont work with him other than this option they are giving him what other choice does he have. Call MS back and explain the previous call and give them the ref# and ask them if you understood correctly about going to a retail store and if they still insist that then ask them which one to go to and how exactly it should all work when u get there.

Yes I already called them twice and told me to go to a retail store with the reference number. Well, I'll try to go to Best Buy tomorrow and see if they will accept my reference number.
