Ugh... I have not modded many consoles and I decided to install a DuoX3 into my Xbox. I am such an idiot. I only had two wires that came with the chip, so I went ahead and used another two wires I had, well, those were solid and too big a gauge. I got my BT connection all hosed and the resistor (10k surface mount) that the instructions said to solder to came right off. In addition the pad on the right side under the resistor is gone. There is a small trace that is now exposed, but it has continuity to the left side of the R3G4 resistor. The 10k surface mount resister is hosed (meters at megs and megs of ohms) and I am petrified that I bricked my machine.
Please help, I need to know a) if I can use a standard resistor in its place and b) where does resistor R3G3 lead to (so I can add a wire for a trace) and c) where does the tiny trace on top of R3G4 belong, i.e., is it suppossed to short to the left side of R3G3 or elsewhere.
I am really counting on the experts to help. I cannot stand the thought of a bricked xbox. It is so depressing. Help will be much appreciated. Lastly, if you think I should ship it off to llama, just say so. I have an Xbox 1.0. (yes, it is in fact a 1.0)
