Is it possible to buy a bigger hdd not a microsoft one and use it on the 360. I want to get like a 300 or 400gig hdd. If so how and can someone point me in the right direction.

There is a guide to upgrading to a 120gb hdd out there but you need the same model thats in the guide, what I assume is in the 120gb unit. As far as I know you cant just add any hdd to the 360 unfortunitly

I did it successfully about two weeks ago.

Got relevant 120gb hdd off E-Bay dirt cheap.

Works brilliantly. Only one game save out of approximately 50 didn't work after this (Forza 2) but hey ho i just deleted it and started game again !!!!

ya i'm gonna give this a go... i have the 20GB refurb HD i got through that special offer m$soft did...

i just ordered one of the WD BEV hd's off ebay and really it is quite a good deal... take the case from the 20gb and use it for this brand new 120GB ....

i just couldn't justify paying about $140 to buy one brand new 120 off newegg... its such a ripoff... insanely overpriced when the drive inside isn't worth anywhere near $140 ....
