Black Screen when Pirates of Caribbean DVD inserted

I have an original copy of Pirates of the Caribbean.
It plays OK in my APEX 1100WB player but when I insert it into a Yamada 2500 it flashes us DVD top left then the screen goes black and nothing happens (should get copyright then trailer for Bruce Almighty). Any ideas anyone on why it fails? The yamada plays all the rest of my DVD's OK but Pirates is the newest i.e. the most recently released I have.
