PSP MAC Address Problem

i really need help.
just recently i updated my PSP CFW from 3.40 OE-A to 3.52 M33-4 and it is successful. Then i tried to upgrade it again to 3.71 M33 and i also tried 3.90 M33 but while trying to update it something happened...
Verifying 371.pbp... ok
Verifying umodule.prx... ok
Error 0x00000060 checking idstorage degeneration
so i read a few thread saying that IdStorage Manager 1.3 by Chilly Willy and KeyCleaner could help. so i tried it. After that i realize that my MAC Address is now - . I tried MAC Address Fixer but it didnt work. And when i tried IdStorage Manager again it says there...
The motherboard cannot be determined from the Idstorage
There may be a problem with the Idstorage on this PSP.
I tried KeyCleaner again and i got the same message as above.
After all that my PSP MAC Address is still -. and i tried to upgrade it but the same message as below appeared.
Verifying 371.pbp... ok

Until i still cant fix and upgrade my psp.
Have any of you ever encounter this problem???
Can someone please help me??? i really want to fix this.

This is probably a dumb question to ask, but why not just upgrade to 5.00 M33-3? Why were you going after a lower version?
Anyway, my suggestion would be doing a full reinstall of the CFW. I'm talking pandora battery and magic mem stick style.
This should, in theory, reset your system to the way it needs to be.
If not, then if possible to an OFW upgrade and then convert it back to CFW.

Fast forward through the first 5 minutes of him fucking with the battery...why he decided it was necessary to show him getting his ass kicked by a plastic box for 5 minutes is beyond me.
HOWEVER he does show a better way of making the pandora then most people do. He cuts the lead running alongside the board rather then screwing with the IC chip's corner pin.
Just remember to use a lead pencil on it after you're done to turn it back into a reg battery.

I have no choice NeonMako..... before i can install 3.71 and higher i need to install 3.52 1st.... i cant jump to 3.71 and higher from 3.40 OE-A......
Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick...... that is my problem...... i dont dare risking my battery and memory stick..... im scared i will do the wrong thing again just like how my psp..... eventhough i followed the step by step from afterdawn......
is there any alternative way like software instead of Pandora battery and Magic memory stick???

my Psp is phat series 1000..... i dont possess any slim battery....
is it alright with phat battery???

I don't know anything about phat batteries to be honest. You will have to look those up :(
As far as 3.71 goes...that's what gets installed when you used a magic memory stick man. 3.71 is the start point. You don't need anything else...
And if you're not willing to risk your battery then go online and buy a pre-made jigkick battery. Datel sells them.
But I'm telling you that jigkick battery + magic memory stick = fixed psp.

Ok Syokuzen there is no need for modding your phat battery if your psp is running 3.52 M33 right now you can just make a pandora battery with a simple homebrew.
Here is the homebrew that you need for making the pandora battery.
All you have to do is put the pan3xx folder thats located inside the rar and put it in the game folder of your memory stick.
After that go to your psp, run the application and then go to the option pandorize battery...after that is successful make sure you don't turn off the psp completely because your battery is in service mode. So you won't be able to turn the psp on without a magic memory stick...this is only temporary...you can turn the battery back to normal after ur done with the pandora proccess
Next you need to download this amazing magic memory stick windows application which installs everything you want on your memory stick with just a few clicks of your mouse.

Well after you are done choosing your options for the memory stick....all you have to do is take out the battery of your psp...while leaving the memory stick in....and the just putting the battery back in and pressing the button you chosed on the pandora windows app as the psp is loading the info and just install what ever firmware or CFW you want....im in school right now so im kinda in a hurry but i hope this helps and if you need any help you know where to ask....=)

Wow. I completely missed the fact that you had custom firmware already installed...
download this file and follow the instructions. it should kick you straight up to 5.00 M33-3.

If it doesn't, THEN do the pandora battery and magic memstick.
If the program that Rogdrik suggested doesn't work, here's one that I know for a fact works: (not saying it wont work, just saying this is one that works FOR SURE as I've made about 5 MMS with this program to date of this post)

This will make a v3.71 M33-2 magic memory stick (pretty sure it's M33-2)
After that, then upgrade to 5.00 M33-3 with file I posted above.

Really nice NeonMako but you should consider using the app that i gave in my previous post.....it makes like 5 or 6 differents magic sticks in one....you can have time machine, DC v3, DC v4, DC v5, DC v7 noobs 1.50 downgrader and 5.00 m33-3 installer. ALL AT THE SAME TIME =0
and it comes with 23 different pandora support tool options is really amazing and i've made plenty of MMS's like your self =)
this one, makes the one that goes directly to 3.71 M33-2 which is dc v3

Oh heck yeah man. I'll most certainly check it out.
I'm always looking for a better program, but at the same time when you find something that works well you stick with it :P

i just pull the battery out without turning it off or plugging it with power cable??? are you sure about this??? and do the rar file got the step by step guide along with it???

you pull out the battery after you are done making the magic memory stick....and the rar all you have to do is put the pan3xx folder on the GAME folder and go run the app in the psp

i downgraded my firmware to official 1.50 by using the software you asked me to download.... and the MAC Address is still -
then i upgraded it to custom firmware 3.52 M33-4 again and still my MAC Address is -
and when i tried to update it to 3.71 M33 and still the problem occured like my 1st post......
i really dont know what to do now...

Ok, with your current FW half working, what you need to do is download "UPMS v4" and this will make your PSP's battery into a pandora. dont make your memory stick "magic" just yet. Now download "Despertar del cementario 7" and follow readme. once done, boot into ddc and restore idstorage. sorry I cant be more detailed but i am typing on a psp and there is a character limit.

Ok, Here goes. I am assuming you have downloaded all files I told you to.
--------------------------------------------
I. Files
1.UPMS v4
2.DC7
3.4.01 EBOOT
---------------------------------------
II. Setup
1. Put "UPMSv4.cso" In your "ISO" folder.
2. Put "DC7" folder in your "GAME" folder.
3. Put "401.PBP" in root of memory stick.
-------------------------------------------
III. Converting Battery
1.Run Upms
2.Select the battery menu.
3.backup your EEPROM
4.Convert battery to pandora.
5.Exit to XMB.
--------------------------------------------
IV. Installing DC7
1. Run DC7 from the game menu and follow on-screen instructions.
-----------------------------------------------------------
V. Restoring iDstorage
1. Boot up with battery and memorystick inserted, while holding L.
2. Scroll down and restore iDstorage and it is self-explanatory from there.
-----------------------------------------------------------
VI. Restoring Battery
1. After all of that, boot with AC adaper ONLY and boot UPMS
2. Goto the same menu that you used to make your Pandora's battery
3. Click "restore EEPROM"
4. Exit to XMB and have fun!

Finally my psp iis now fixed..... i got my MAC Address back and even its CFW 4.01 M33-2........ higher version that i expect to upgrade..... this is so good..... the games that i cant play before i can play now.....
