Anyone recommend a SATA dvd bruner with black face? Ive read that it needs to support booktype so that would be preferred. Any help is greatly appreciated.

all modern burners do booktype ...

on blackcats games people seem to prefer the pioneer line ...

All right. I bought a pioneer 216D. WIll I need to set the booktype on it? or should it be plug and play for burning backups?

you seem preoccupied with booktype... you should be more concerned about the media you use...

i use a liteon burner thats a few years old and burn with imgburn... i have never set the booktype... i believe its done automatically...

ya load the .DVD file into imgburn and hit burn its really quite simple.
