Hey guys,

Ok I finally got into DOS to run hddhackr on my WD 1200BEVS HDD...when I ran it...it appeared to run fine...I shut down and restarted and ran it again. This time it detected my WD drive as a Fujitsu 2120 and said that it wasn't a match...and my Xbox won't recognize it. What am I doing wrong?

What am I missing??? Is there another way to format the drive without using the Xbox?

thing is ... you aren't formatting the drive with hddhackr... its writing the firmware of the drive. so really i don't know of any other way, cause its a very non-standard thing to be doing.

anyways... i just did went through this process myself today... but it went a bit smoother. i flashed it with the 120GB fujutsi hddss.bin probably the same one you have... then you turn the computer off and back on and run the command again and it verified it and says it will work in xbox 360

did you make an undo file ?? you can use the "-u" option to undo the flash. then i would suggest trying another computer, perhaps there is something wrong with the SATA controller in the one your using. cause really you have very few options with this hddhackr... it either works or it doesnt.

Thanks Donaldo,

But do I really need to run the hddhackr -u? Couldn't I just run it again on another computer?

It was my understanding that I only require the FIRST undo.bin?

I was going to try another PC tonight. Just wanted to know if I have to run undo before I try.

Thanks again.

no you may not have to run the undo... it might not be necessary
