Seriously... if I had a kernel that was old enough where the efuses were intact, and I had the efuse power supply resistor removed from the board and I made the mistake of updating to NXE, which yielded an error 80 or something like that, then re-added the r6t3 to complete the nxe without error 80 would the efuse blow? I think yes. Just wanted to hear it from the seniors. Has anyone been able to update to NXE withouth the resistor? In summaray does the NXE blow the efuse and is the resistor NEEDED to complete the NXE update? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Oh lastly...two more short questions: is there any "new" exploits capable with a recent kernel and if r6t3 is neccessary to complete NXE how does it report the "blown" status of the efuse? If we can trick the report of the blown efuse and patch on portions of the exploited kernel (although I hope for a newer exploit on a recent kernel) then we are in business again, right?
