Which Drive Do I Have?

Hello

I've just purchased an xbox 360 Elite and wondered if there's a way to tell which drive i have without taking the xbox to bits.

My xbox was manufactured in May 08 and i've checked the dvd drive database and see that around this time some drives were still benq and not the pain in the ass liteon .

I've had a good look through the forum for an answer but couldn't find it so sorry if this is a repeat question.

Any ideas.

remove the faceplate of the xbox ... there is a hole you can look through and see wires ... the color of the wires tells you what drive is installed... this page might help

Thanks for the info, just took the faceplate off and checked and they're defo white wires, hopefully thatll be the benq drive.
