I have been backing up movies for my daughter using ripit4me for the past year or so. I'm not the brightest guy on earth when it comes to computers, so please bear with me here. it seems to be a nice wizard that just uses shrink and dvd decrypter. It was easy to use 1 click type thing.

the problem - ripit4me has issues with the newer movies (ie wall-e). So I searched the fourm here and found that dvdfab 4.1.2.0 decrypts it. Then I used dvd shrink to compress it fit it on a dvd5 disk, and then dvd decrypter to burn to the blank dvd-r because I don't know what to make ImgBurn use to burn the copy for me. This worked, but damn it was some work.
Are there any programs out there that are keeping up with the changing encryptions, etc. that have a 1-click does it all solution?
If not, is there a more efficient way for me to get this done? If yes, is there a guide for dum dum's like me to follow? LOL.
Sorry, I just need a bit of a boost the right direction.

Thanks in advance!

Jason

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

I followed the guide that berryone posted, and it worked flawlessly. I'm beginning to understand some of this dvd backup stuff, i just fell behind on my knowledge of sifteware, etc. when it comes to movies. having kids who take dvd's and run them across the floor like toys or something has forced me to start backing up these movies my wife buys constantly.

@JasonK94Z Keep your current cocktail as I call it, of different useful programs. You'll need them. I too as you may already know use most of the same decrypting freeware and in keeping the old reliable freeware even though it's no longer supported helps you to apply different sometimes needed approaches to completing a full back-up of a given title. I have noticed that with the supported software's I own like AnyDVD & CloneDVD and even DVDFAB that many times in the effort to develop a current decrypting solution these companies pick up and put down other decrypting methods & solutions to handle a given new tough title.

Hence and older version of a supported or non-supported software can often work on a new title and this is because the decrypting arrangement in a decrypting software update created today and sometimes years ago can serve unknowingly to decrypted a new tough encryption and vice versa. Plus they all do the same thing differently. DVD Decrypter is a very powerful software because it illustrates and often describes to the user it's challenges and methods of solution. NERO often allows the end user to edit and delete unwanted portions of a title. CloneDVD does a superior job of encoding DVD files. RIPIT4ME coupled with DVD Decrypter and FIXITVTS is a favorite of mine because it does an above average job of deleting unwanted dummy sectors in a title and consistently allows me to customize a titles playing order ie, main title or start from main menu. SHRINK just surprises me with it's decrypting ability and its ability to compress files with a very sharp picture as the end result.

AnyDVD ClonDVD & DVDFAB and the companies that support these softwares are the cornerstones for supported software that continue to research and develop programs methods that support & empower DVD movie media collectors and enthusiast to engage in a safe legal hobby of simply backing up your given DVD and now BD film collections.
