Flas recent LG/hatachi DVd drives with LG 816x firmware

Any link to download LG-816x DVD drives to install it on the latest drives from LG or Hatachi.
I started a new link fro ideas & thoughts.

No, it probably won't work.

1)The hardware is probably different
2)There are typically minimal checks to keep people from ruining their drives.

Just missed "r" at the end & no need to be pedantic. Every one knows you can't download drives -only DRIVERS.

dailun, thanks for the reply. I've found the 8161 driver from LG site in Korea and will post the result once gets to try it.
Any thing that can be added, theoretically can be removed/updated. Thats why most of the chips can be modded.
