PSP R Button issues...

Recently I have noticed while playing Madden that I just dont run as fast as I should be...

anyways, I learned that my R Button is unresponsive at times...

The button presses fine, and doesnt feel weird, it just doesnt register the press no matter how hard...

There are rare times when it does work, so I am not convinced the button is completely broke, and was thinking of opening it up to take a look...

Anyone have any advice, or has seen this problem before?...

any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Well, I bit the bullet and took it apart...1st gen PSP, I could not let it go out like that...

cleaned the contact for the button, and seems to be work consistently now...

one life down..
